9.45 Rules of the game
Having roles helps students stay mtivated and provides direction and scaffolding for success. The roles
are often mentioned in the students reflections as having a positive impact on learning.

Player
Has the controller makes all the moves in the game.
Researcher
Looks on the internet for tips on the game and reviews blogs.
Blogger
Makes a post to the appropriate live space
Hitchhiker
Has a look around the room picking up ideas about the other gamers progress and feed it back to their group.
Watcher
Watches the player and helps provide them with information about what is happening in the garden.
